Baby Room Wall Hanging

A really close friend of mine just had a baby! She painted the room pink with butterflies so this is what I made for her to match the baby’s room.

Ingredients: 8×11 canvas from Michaels, acrylic paints, brushes, cricut, paper, spray adhesive, glitter, glossy accents, butterfly punch, xyron

Using the storybook cartridge, I cut out these pieces, along with the letters for “Olivia” (baby’s name!)

I used the Xyron to adhere the layers of the letters together and then to the canvas. Xyrons are GREAT for all the small stuff you cut out on the cricut!

I used this vintage style punch by Martha Stewart to punch out hearts for the butterflies.

and adhered them together like this (leaving a little space at the bottom to flatten out again like a brad and glue down.

Once dry, I sprayed the butterflies with spray adhesive and dipped them in pink glitter!

Starting to assemble the canvas:

And my final product!!
